Manila Improv Festival 2013 : Breaking The Language Barrier Thru Improv!

How would you summarize a movie in four seconds? Can you jump over hurdles… in slow motion? Or act out a butcher killing someone with a Rubik’s cube? These are just some of the scenes and actions heard and seen at the 2^nd Manila International Improv Festival.

Team SanTayo took up the challenge and experienced a day -- or several days in fact -- full of laughter and mayhem.

The Manila International Improv Festival, organized by Manila-based Silly People’s Improve Theater (SPIT), is a collaboration of different groups from Asian countries, showcasing talents on using improvisation in the world of comedy. This year’s theme is “Follow your Feet,” reminding improvs to move when their feet wants to move.

Crazy, Wild, Powerful, over the top, energetic, fun, outstanding, finest, awesome, surreal -- the list goes on as there is no single word that could describe how this night turned out! Date : June 15, 2013, Location : Manila, Philippines will forever be in the hearts of the 4 young men of CNBLUE. Lee Jung-shin, Kang Min-Hyuk, Lee Jong-hyun and Jung Yong-hwa performed for solid 2 hours in front of the screaming BOICES and fan girls (and fan boys like me!). People sang, danced, rocked and laugh as this four gentlemen rocked the Dome!

At exactly 3:30 PM, hundreds of BOICES scream and shout to welcome Lee Jung-shin (Bass), Kang Min-Hyuk (Drums), Lee Jong-hyun (Guitar & Vocals) and Jung Yong-hwa(Guitar & Vocals), collectively known as CNBLUE. BOICES made sure their idols feel warm despite the impending rainy weather.

Compared to other Korean acts, CNBLUE is an alternative rock band. A few korean bands has grazed the Philippines in the past few years (mostly were boy/girl groups). Today, they decided to hold a press conference to answer questions from the people of the press.
