Kpop fan girls and fan boys started the year 2013 right by having 6 KPOP group idols, namely Infinite, Tasty, UKiss, Tahiti, EXO and Girls Generation! It was fun, screaming, ear mashing fan girls and boys filled the night to make them feel at home
Infinite started off the Hexology, battled by technical issues right off the bat, affecting Tasty as well at the start and middle of their song. Followed by the Korean balikbayan U-Kiss. Tahiti took the stage with Tonight and finally, the 2 big bombs of the night, EXO and Girls Generation capped off the night. Somehow it felt lacking, overall, its a dream kpop fantasy that came true!
The Good/Best Parts
- Being an Girls Generation/SNSD Fan, I was in awe! Starting off with Tell Me Your Wish, Bring the boys out, Dancing Queen, Gee and I got a Boy. SooYoung's personality (as seen on tv shows) ticked off with her YAAAHHH!!!! (apparently Tiffany forgot that they were performing Gee first - thank you SY!)
- SVIP area would be the best area to be near your idols and unexpectedly there was a lot of space instead of your typical 'moshpit'. Fans were able to run around the 4 corners of the moshpit to get the best picture. Found a new love for the barricades!
- EXO singing Hawak Kamay acoustic..with little to no Korean accent! Nice!
- Honestly, I was expecting Tahiti to perform Tonight and Hasta Luego. Question was, whats next? Well, they brought the crowds energy up by performing Wannabe (Spice Girls) and Oppa Gangnam Style! Good job ladies of Tahiti! Definitely the dark horse of the 6 groups!
- Kring Elenzano (http://mykoreanboyfriend.com) did an awesome job of hosting and filling in the dead air! FAKUNDO ang heels ko buhatin, napapagod sila!!
- Generally nice Kpop crowd, people still say sorry when they bump into you or trip you. Faith in humanity RESTORED!
Challenges...Something to improve on
- Unorganized entrance coupled with little guidance. No clear division between SVIP/VIP/Platinum with Gold, Silver, Bronze which made it look (and actually feel) unorganized. Ropes or clear divisions amongst lines could have helped. As early as 2PM, there was no one who could point where Gold, Silver, Bronze should enter.
- Technical issues with what looked like the wireless headsets or some other device affecting the performers wireless headset interrupted the song of Infinite and Tasty twice. Frustration can be seen on Dae Ryong and So Ryong.
